PLASMA NITRIDING: POPULAR BELIEFS UNMASKED

 In Focus

The identification of an optimal set of parameters (PLASMA 3) suitable to prevent the hollow cathode phenomenon today allows us to successfully apply the thermo-chemical treatment using plasma also in the aeronautical sector with NADCAP accreditation:

Fig. 7: Bushes for aeronautical actuators in PH13-8 Mo

After long studies, tests and attempts we are now able to respond optimally to our customer needs and to meet market demands, proposing a carefully controlled treatment in all its parameters which allows nitriding on all surfaces, including holes: this result is made possible both by the availability at TAG of highly sophisticated systems and by the valuable experience and knowledge of all relevant staff.
